SAMARE STUDIO is based in Montreal, with offices in Milan. It offers design and interior consulting services and produces its own portfolio of objects entirely handmade in Canada. Following the growing demand for customized objects, Samare Studio also offers unique design items, which transcend the needs of specific clients and projects.



Nicolas Bellavance-Lecompte, born in Montreal, he grew up in Gaspésie on the St-Laurence gulf. Nicolas received his Bachelor in Architecture from the University of Montreal before moving to Europe where he completed his education at the I.U.A.V in Italy and at the Kunsthochschule Berlin Weissensee in Germany where he got his Master Degree in Interdisciplinary Creation. After different collaborations with the German artist Thomas Demand and Berlin Design brands, he founded Samare Studio with his partners, rediscovering a strong link to his natal country and his cultural heredity. Actually lives and works in Milan, Italy.

Mania Bedikian was born in Montreal. She received her ba in Philosophy, as well as her bachelor's and master's degrees in architecture from Université de Montréal. She has also studied in Vancouver at the University of British Columbia and at l.t.h. Lunds Universitet, Sweden, where she has worked on public art and furniture projects for the city of lund. Mania has participated in many international competitions of ideas in the field of design and architecture, notably the 7th international architecture exhibition citta: third millenium and the Biennale di Venezia for which her work was published. Mania is currently based in Montreal, where she has led many important architectural projects both locally and internationally, especially in the field of design for transport.

Patrick M. de Barros is canadian and received his bachelor's and master's degrees in architecture from Université de Montréal. Over the years, Patrick has participated in several creative laboratories worldwide, namely in Lyon (france), Syracusa (italy) and Montreal. Patrick co-founded Pecha Kucha Montréal and sits on the board of directors of Laboratoire créatif de Montréal. He is currently based in Montreal, where he has developed a notable expertise in architecture through his involvement in various institutional projects both in canada and abroad.

Laurie Bedikian was born in Montreal. She received her bachelor of interior design from Université de Montréal as well as her m.a in design studies from Central Saint Martins College of art and design in London. Laurie has been invited to assist many studios of interior design and to sit on various selection committees and evaluation juries. She has acted as an editorial contributor for different publications and worked as an event organizer, a press agent and advertising and a marketing assistant for communications firm specialized in design and architecture. Laurie is currently based in Montreal, where she overlooks north american press relations as well as daily operations and events for Samare Studio.
